The Turners Truck & Machinery Show, in association with National Road Carriers, is on Sunday 8 December at Pukekohe Park, 222-250 Manukau Road, Pukekohe, Auckland.

This annual show, which is fast becoming the must-see truck and machinery show in Auckland, not only caters to anyone with an interest in the industry but also for those who want to see a great display of shiny big rigs and machinery.

This year Paul ‘Sludge‘ Andrews from Outback Truckers will be appearing at the show, sponsored by Easy Moves Ltd house movers.

The UDC Show & Shine has room for more than 300 trucks (and trailers) on display. Every entry includes a donation to the local Pukekohe Volunteer Fire Brigade. Don‘t forget to put in your vote for the People‘s Choice, which will be announced at the prizegiving towards the end of the show.

The MIMICO Excavator Competition will have keen operators from around the country showing off their skill and looking to take out the top spot. The winner will win flights to the TMC Trailers Trucking Industry Show in Christchurch where they will compete for the national title and to win a tour of the Kobelco factory in Japan. Deals on Wheels is providing cash prizes for second and third place getters.

The show will also feature a great range of trade exhibitors showing off their products and services.

The big rigs will be heading around the track for your enjoyment – a gold coin donation (also going to the Pukekohe Volunteer Fire Brigade) will get you a lap of the track.

And don‘t forget the NZ Super Trucks! Just $250 will get you a couple of laps around the track to experience the thrill of racing in a big rig. You can book in advance or on the day.

For those who have the appropriate licence, the Truck Reversing Competition will be back again this year. There‘s $100 cash first prize plus TR Group merchandise up for grabs. Alongside this will be the Truck Wheel Changing competition, also with a $100 cash first prize, for anyone who wants to have a go.

The bar is open from 11am, and there is a food court nearby. The children‘s rides are just across from here on the grass.

Like last year, Robbie ‘Gooserooter‘ Shefford is coming up from Geraldine and will be the MC at the event, and will be available if anyone wants to have a good yarn.

Gates open at 9am, $10 entry, children under 12 get in free with a paying adult.
