Newly appointed transport minister David Parker will drop his revenue portfolio to have more focus on transport.
The announcement follows the ministerial portfolio reallocations confirmed by Prime Minister Chris Hipkins after Kiri Allan’s resignation last week.
Allan held the associate transport minister role alongside the justice minister portfolio.
Damien O’Connor will pick up associate transport to support Parker.
Parker picked up the transport portfolio last month following the resignation of Michael Wood.
“Between now and the election our singular focus must be on making life better for everyday Kiwis,” said Hipkins.
“That is what I have sought to do, and I need everyone to do the same.”
Overall there are 25 Ministers in the executive, with 18 in Cabinet.
