Sime Darby Motors NZ has officially rebranded to Sime Motors NZ, as part of the company’s global rebrand.
The brand refresh is being rolled out across 18 countries and 30,000 employees in the Asia Pacific region.
“For over 100 years, we have adapted time and time again to shifting market dynamics, and this evolution of our brand stands testament to our agility and resilience,” said Dato’ Jeffri Salim Davidson, group chief executive officer of Sime.
“We are especially excited about the vast prospects in Asia Pacific, where we are at the heart of enormous growth potential. This transformation enables Sime to better serve our stakeholders while establishing a more distinctive identity in the market.”
Pat McKenna, managing director for New Zealand and director of commercial vehicles Asia Pacific, welcomed the change and commented: “In New Zealand, the rebrand follows last year’s launch of our new purpose and set of company values.
“We’re changing on the inside, so now it’s time to signal our strengthened focus on collaboration and partnership to our customers and partners across the passenger and commercial transport sector,” McKenna said
“Sime Motors NZ has over 23 brands that support New Zealand’s transport industry from end to end,” he said. “Our size and scale mean that we are uniquely positioned to be the bridge to new opportunities for our customers, our suppliers and for the 1200 people that are the driving force behind our businesses.
“Our focus is now on working together to bring the best products and solutions to help New Zealand move and develop,”
