Volvo Trucks NZ had the opportunity to share news about its recently launched electric truck to Sweden’s Crown Princess and Prince of Sweden during a recent visit in New Zealand.

Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel visited the site of Tetra Pak’s recycling partner, saveBOARD in Te Rapa, as part of their recent trip to New Zealand to promote trade relationships.

Rob Woods, general manager for Volvo Trucks NZ and Michael Doeg, general manager for Sime Darby Commercial Sales NZ, were able to meet the royals and share news about the Volvo FLE.

The light duty electric unit, manufactured by the Swedish global truck brand, is currently being put through its paces in Fonterra livery, delivering products to FMCG customers in the Auckland area.

A great sustainability story to complement the Swedish Royals’ recent tour of the saveBOARD site in Te Rapa, that contributes to a strong circular economy by converting used beverage cartons into low carbon building materials.

The royals were accompanied by Swedish Ambassador Pontus Melander, and Swedish Minister for International Development Co-operation and Foreign Trade, Johan Forssell.
