Rollover Prevention Workshop

The Road Transport Forum and the NZ Transport Agency have announced they will be running further workshops on heavy vehicle stability and safety.

The first will be held at the Onehunga RSA, 57 Princes Street, Onehunga, from 9am to 11.30am on Saturday 10 June 2017. Additional workshops are also planned for Tokoroa (7am Monday 12 June), Rotorua (morning, Tuesday 13 June) and Tauranga (late afternoon, 13 June).

Knowing how to manage your truck and your load is an important part of being a professional truck driver. Around a third of heavy vehicle crashes in New Zealand involve a rollover and nationally our statistics on rollover are worse than comparable countries. Almost all of these crashes are preventable.

The workshops are aimed at preventing truck rollover and improving road safety. You will get an in-depth understanding of what causes truck rollover and the simple steps you can take to prevent it.

Anyone who works in the transport industry, in any role, will benefit from this workshop – it could help you save a life in the future.
