Refrigafreighters has added five new Euro-6 DAFs to its growing transport business.

The 8×4 tractor units feature Paccar’s MX-13 engine delivering up to 530hp with 2600Nm of torque alongside a ZF Traxon 16-speed automated transmission.

The new DAFs have full safety systems that include driver assist, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation with autonomous emergency braking.

Other features include stainless inserts on drive axle guards, painted sun visor, DAF illuminated grille badge, smooth alloy chassis covers, and a chassis-mounted toolbox.

Marsh Engineering of Mt Maunganui took care of all the lighting rigging, and engineering work.

Originally founded in 2001, Auckland-based Refrigafreighters is run by owners Bryan Tracey and Glenn O’Sullivan and first started operating with two trucks and a team of two.

Over the last 11 years through a combination of continued business growth, acquisitions and investment, and the expansion and upgrading of the fleet, Refrigafreighters has become one of New Zealand’s top temperature-controlled transport, storage, and distribution companies.
