Public information sessions on alternative Manawatu Gorge route

The NZ Transport Agency is holding a series of public information sessions for Te Ahu a Turanga: Manawatu Tararua Highway project. These will be drop-in sessions, running for 3.5 hours each.

There will be one session each in Palmerston North, Dannevirke, Woodville, Feilding, Pahiatua and Ashhurst to provide a project update, including a new animated video flyover, new maps and information on NZTA‘s Notice of Requirement which was lodged 2 November with the Manawatu District, Palmerston North City and Tararua District Councils.

The sessions will be held at:

Palmerston North Convention Centre
Tuesday, 6 November
4pm to 7.30pm

Dannevirke Sports Centre (Supper Room)
Wednesday, 7 November
4pm to 7.30pm

Woodville Supper Room
Thursday, 8 November
4pm to 7.30pm

Feilding Civic Centre
Tuesday, 13 November
4pm to 7.30pm

Pahiatua Town Hall (Supper Room)
Wednesday, 14 November
4pm to 7.30pm

Ashhurst Village Valley Hall
Thursday, 15 November
4pm to 7.30pm

At the Ashhurst session, NZTA will also present the latest information on their package of mitigation measures to deal with Ashhurst traffic noise and safety issues.
