Penske Australia appointed strategic partner of Toll Group
Logistics supplier Toll Group has appointed Penske Australia as am OEM partner, contracted to provide over 180 Western Star and MAN trucks with deliveries commencing immediately.
Delivering a commercially astute Western Star and MAN solution, the contract includes the supply of A-double, B-double, and single trailer-rated prime movers in bonneted and cab-over configurations with the potential in future to supply prime movers capable of pulling quad configurations.
Winner of the Truck of The Year Australasia award for 2024, the Western Star X-Series boasts legendary Star durability, an advanced safety package, an efficient integrated driveline, and superior comfort.
“Our national fleet team worked very closely with the Toll Group to tender a submission that was a bespoke fit for the unique requirements of Toll,” said Craig Lee, executive general manager of on-highway at Penske Australia.
“The Western Star X-Series and the MAN truck generation both have exceptionally efficient fuel burn rates, innovative technology, and an overall total cost of ownership package that is highly attractive.
“Given Toll’s commitment to safety, we are confident that the Western Star and MAN safety packages will surely exceed all requirements.
