Patchell appoints HDPS as Swinglift aftersales service agent

Patchell Swinglift have appointed well respected local firm Heavy Diesel Parts & Services (HDPS) as their supplier of aftersales service, repairs and maintenance for their Swinglift side-loaders in Canterbury and the wider South Island. HDPS have two facilities in Christchurch and one in Washdyke, Timaru.

Mark Janssen, sales and marketing manager for Patchell Swinglift, said that when he first took on the role in 2016 his first trip was to Christchurch.

“I was told by some customers that they knew Patchells made good quality trailers but who was in Christchurch to support the product? I then took it upon myself to find a solution to this hurdle and we‘ve recently appointed HDPS as service providers to the Swinglift product sold into Christchurch and outlying areas in the South Island.”

Janssen said HDPS were selected because of their professional approach and high standards, which is exactly what Patchells wanted in a service provider to their company. He said the staff are very familiar with the use and maintenance of side loaders, and that was a real asset to the partnership.

“I served my apprenticeship with Patchells some 30 years ago, and learnt my trade from Ian Patchell himself. Being back home and working for the man and company that gave me a start in life is great. I couldn‘t think of any better way to support our New Zealand-designed and built Swinglift side loaders, than to work with HDPS, which is a great local kiwi company and well respected in the South Island.

“I believe the growth and success for Swinglift will come from the product support we deliver, and having great working relationships with our existing and new Swinglift customers.”
