Central Diesel Services is now under new ownership, as of 1 September 2023.
Robert and Debbie Hayden have sold the Bay of Plenty-based business to Ryan and Shara Marra, after 28 years at the helm.
The new company will continue to trade as Central Diesel Services, or CDS, and all current franchises will transfer over to the new company.
“Debbie and I have decided to semi-retire and have accepted an offer from Ryan and Shara to buy CDS in its entirety,” said Robert.
“Ryan will take up my current responsibilities and all other roles will remain the same within the business.”
Robert said it was not an easy decision.
“We consider the whole CDS team and business partners to be part of our family,” he said.
“We feel that Ryan and Shara hold very similar values and goals, that we, as a team, have always strived to achieve and we are happy that CDS will continue on as a family-owned business.”
The new company, CDS 2023 Ltd, will retain all its staff in their current positions. All phone numbers and emails will transfer to the new company.
Robert will remain in the business during the early part of September to help with the transition, and then in an advisory capacity going forward.
