MITO has opened scholarships tailored to cover professional driver training.

The scholarships allow learners to pursue one qualification – up to three essential micro-credentials – to gain skills for a heavy haulage operator, goods service heavy vehicle driver or log transport operator within the commercial road transport industry.

What’s included in these scholarships?

The three micro-credentials specialised online short courses cover heavy combination vehicle loading fundamentals, driver safety, and mass and dimensions.

They also include one of the following certifications to gain a national qualification:

• NZ Certificate in Commercial Road Transport – Transportation of Logs
• New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Road Transport- Heavy Vehicle Operator)
