Scotty (left) and Glenn (right) Hale say they‘re looking forward to their partnership with FUSO.

Extending its reach within the Bay of Plenty region, Fuso NZ has added East Coast Heavy Diesel and Machinery (ECHD) to its 20-strong dealer network, providing a one-stop-service-shop for customers in the area

Father and son Glenn and Scotty Hale set up the business 10 years ago to create a comprehensive service solution for customers in and around Whakatane.

Covering a range of light to heavy-duty vehicles and machinery, the business prides itself on offering a full range of vehicle services under one roof – something that general manager Robert Gatward says sets them apart from local competition.

“Our business ethos is all about making things as easy as possible for the customer and building strong, long-lasting relationships in the process,” said Gatward.

“We‘re always looking for ways to work faster, smarter and better, so having access to the excellent training and facilities that FUSO has to offer is a great chance for us to polish up and make improvements in the business.

“We‘re proud to join the FUSO network and looking forward to building on our existing reputation.”

Fuso NZ managing director Kurtis Andrews said ECHD was identified as a potential FUSO authorised parts and service dealer for its proven experience and customer service focus.

“We want to partner with businesses that operate on shared values with our own and which have the skills and expertise to back it up. Our standards are extremely high and I‘m very pleased to welcome ECHD on board.

“Operators in central and eastern Bay of Plenty now have easier access to the best possible service for their FUSO vehicles.”
