Live music, food stalls, crowds and, of course, trucks – the 2023 McDonough Contracting Gore Truck Show had it all.

The American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) is dedicated to preserving the history of trucks, the trucking industry and its pioneers. Hundreds of modern and vintage trucks made their way to Reno, Nevada, for this year’s National Convention & Truck Show in June.

While at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show, we took the time to visit the annual Heritage Truck Show at Rocklea Showgrounds to take in some of the Aussie classic trucking scene.

More trucks, more components, more people, more to celebrate, unveil and enjoy – Brisbane Truck Show 2023 had it all.

The last big reveal before it all gets properly real. Following on from the Bombay show, Southpac Trucks had the new K220s on show south of the ditch. Dynes Transport has had its one on the road now for a few months, and hard on the heels of that will be the Guy Knowles machine, with the other truck at the show, painted in the official Release Red, sold to McCarthy Transport Contractors.
