The 2022 EROAD Fleet Day will take place 20 July at the Globox Event Centre, Claudelands, in Hamilton.

The event welcomed more than 300 customers and industry professionals last year, and a larger turnout is expected for 2022.

“EROAD Fleet Day is an important event for the automotive industry as it grapples with issues of safety and sustainability,” said EROAD’s general manager New Zealand, Andrew Davies.

“Transport is a crucial part of our community and we need it to operate in a way that is both safe and sustainable. Fleet Day is where the industry gets together to discuss these issues.”

Fleet Day is an opportunity for fleet managers and others in the industry to gain insight into challenges and solutions facing the vehicular technology, health and safety and EV emissions sectors.

This year’s event is centred around three pillars; road safety, EV strategies and technology, and heavy transport challenges and solutions.

“Fleet Day is a truly unique event for the industry, bringing together organisations and industry leaders and showcasing innovative technologies,” said Davies.

“This year’s event includes a heavy focus on road safety and EV strategies, including the opportunity to see the largest number of commercial EV vehicles gathered in one place in New Zealand.”

Speakers for this year’s event include Mad Mike Widdett, Nick Leggit from Ia Ara Aotearoa RTF, Stephen Jones from New Zealand Police, Harriet Shelton from Ministry of Transport, Andrew Renton from Transpower, Richard Briggs from EECA and Matt Gibson from WorkSafe.

Additionally, EROAD Fleet Day 2022 will have on show a range of cars and trucks, including a Lamborghini GT3 race car and the latest electric Volvo truck.
