Daimler Truck launches first-ever Mercedes-Benz eActros fully electric truck in Singapore
Daimler Commercial Vehicles South East Asia, the south-east Asian entity of Daimler Truck AG, has introduced the first-ever Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 fully-electric truck in Singapore.
Daimler Truck delivered the first local unit of the eActros 300 in Singapore to German logistic giant DB Schenker, which will serve its local operations.
The introduction of the eActros in Singapore will offer local businesses looking to electrify their commercial fleets with features such as impressive range, power output, fast charging capability, adaptability for daily use, and application flexibility. Additionally, low noise levels and the ability to drive with zero CO2 emissions are also crucial considerations that the eActros 300 addresses.
“We are proud to be leading the charge in electric truck innovation. As the world faces the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change, Daimler Truck remains at the forefront of developing sustainable alternatives,” said Harald Schmid, CEO, DCVSEA.
“We believe that the eActros will revolutionise the transportation industry and we are committed to partnering with businesses and governments to drive the widespread adoption of electric trucks for a more sustainable future.”
By 2039, Daimler Truck plans to transition its entire European product portfolio to electric vehicles.
There are plans to launch the eActros in Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia in 2024.
