CablePrice Nelson branch doubles in size to meet growing demand

CablePrice Nelson has opened a new purpose-built branch twice as big as its former building to meet growing demand from Nelson and Marlborough forestry and construction clients.

The new high-spec building, which opened in late August, is located on the same site as CablePrice‘s original branch at 5 Kotua Place, Stoke, Richmond. It features four machinery bays, replacing the original two, allowing the team to service up to five machines at a time undercover.

The new building also includes a showroom to display equipment brands, a fully stocked parts department, welcoming service reception and a customer waiting lounge. The workshop features state-of-the-art tooling including a specialist flow meter, thermal imaging equipment with data logging, and a hydraulic cylinder reconditioning table

Operations manager Justin MacLean has hired three new technicians to keep up with demand, with two of those based in Marlborough. The additions take the team to 14 staff including one sales rep and two apprentices.

“The forestry and construction sectors are thriving in our region. With the larger space, and bigger team, we‘re thrilled we can offer a faster turnaround time on servicing both in our workshop or on site,” says MacLean.

“Customers love that they can get their machines in the workshop faster, as we now have more room. And the team is loving the new clean, bright workspace too. It‘s a win-win for everyone.”
