The tractor was brought haul a 3-axle cement tank trailer for scheduled runs Whangarei and Auckland, and from Whangarei the rest of Northland.

The 8×4 tractor was fitted with a Caterpillar C12 445hp an Eaton Fuller RTLO 16918B 18-speed gearbox, and RT40-145GP diffs with 4.1 ratios. Rear suspension was International Ride Optimized (IROS) with Dana Spicer wide track front axles and springs.

The tractor went on the road with a tare of 8300kgs and the tank trailer weighed in at 5400kgs, allowing a payload of 26 tonnes of cement powder.

Kevin kept the 7600 for seven years. When he traded it at around 600,000 kilometres he‘d had no major mechanical problems. It was on-sold to Reliance Transport Ltd in Auckland to haul containers.

Reliance recently traded it on a new Freightliner and at the time the magazine went to print the International was for sale at Trucks & Trailers in Manukau City. It has covered around 900,000 kilometres.
