Navistar International Corporation has announced that Bernardo Valenzuela is returning to the company in the newly created role of vice president of export, and president of Mexico and global operations.

“Bernardo Valenzuela has a strong track record in addressing the needs of customers in Mexico, Latin America and global markets,” said Persio Lisboa, Navistar‘s executive vice president and chief operations officer. “His leadership will be of great value as we work to grow our business in these important markets.”

Valenzuela will be responsible for the company‘s Mexico business and export markets, as well as overseeing the company‘s global operations in South America and Asia, reporting to Lisboa.

Previously, Valenzuela spent 16 years at Navistar, including time as vice president of global trucks sales from 2008 to 2014, before leaving and founding Terranova GTS LLC, a developer and distributor of specialty commercial vehicles, primarily serving customers in Mexico and Latin America markets.

“I‘m excited to be rejoining Navistar in this new role,” said Valenzuela. “The company has developed a very impressive new product line-up, and has many opportunities to do even more for customers around the world. I look forward to advancing Navistar‘s important mission of growing the business globally.”

Navistar‘s leading on-road truck brand is assembled and distributed in New Zealand by Mount Maunganui based Intertruck Distributors Limited.
