Isuzu Trucks leads 2024 sales in heavy commercial space
Isuzu Trucks New Zealand has cemented its number-one position in the Total Heavy Commercial space, claiming the top spot in three segments and increasing the gap to its closest competitors in the 2024 sales race, according to market registration data provided by the Motor Industry Association.
Led by the N Series and F Series, Isuzu Trucks claimed the number-one sales spot in the Total Heavy Commercial Vehicle sales >3500kg GVM, Light Duty and Medium Duty segments, while the brand’s total 1083 sales saw it claim outright first position in the Heavy Commercial space.
Isuzu has held the number-one spot in New Zealand’s truck market since 2023, with the brand extending its lead across 2024, finishing 247 units, or almost 30%, up on its closest competitor.
All up, a total 440 Isuzu F Series Trucks were sold across New Zealand, accounting for more than 20% of its segment. A total 496 Isuzu N Series Trucks were also delivered.
“These impressive results aren’t just a result of Isuzu’s incredible product, but are also testament to the strength and stability of our sales and service networks, including our master truck dealers and our authorised service centre dealers,” said Dave Ballantyne, general manager, Isuzu New Zealand.
“Most of our network has been working with our brand for years in New Zealand, and fully understand our product, our customers and our vision. You can’t just instantly create legacy, trust and experience, and those are three things that the Isuzu Trucks network has built over decades servicing the New Zealand market,” he said.
“That story continues in 2025, with the introduction of exciting new product in the light and medium duty spaces.”
