This year’s Mitre 10 Ride in a Truck Show in Hawke’s Bay was a hit, with about 250 trucks, the highest number in the show’s history.

The show kicked off at 9am on Saturday, 12 October at the Hawke’s Bay Showgrounds in Hastings.

The event saw convoys of trucks come from far and wide to take part, all looking their best for the show, while some offered truck rides for the kids. This year’s event raised funds to support Hato Hone St John, the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust and the Little Elms Charitable Trust, as well as families requiring short-term accommodation while their child is in hospital.

In addition to truck rides in the convoy, visitors to the show could enjoy barrel train rides, party train rides, a bouncy castle, and truck rides around the showgrounds. Raffles, goodie bags and food were also up for grabs.
