More reasons to join the NZ Trucking media family

The Nielsen National Readership Report for Q3 2023 – Q4 2024 has been released, and New Zealand Trucking magazine has shown increased readership over the previous readership release period (Q3 2023 – Q2 2024) and year on year.

The survey samples 10,000 people aged 15+ out of the country’s 4,253,000 age population.

Out of the sample, New Zealand Trucking magazine’s readership increased from 73 to 81 year on year, which accounts for 1.9% of the population aged 15+.

“The strong trend upward shows that New Zealand trucking magazine is increasingly striking the right chord with its target readers,” says Dave McCoid, editorial director at New Zealand Trucking Media. Most of the readers are men aged 20+ and the main income earners of their households.

The Nielsen survey ties in with the latest numbers of New Zealand Trucking Media’s Keep on Moving podcast. Kicking off as a response to the Covid-19 lockdowns in 2021, the Keep on Moving Podcast picked up steam in 2022 and really got into its stride in 2023. With consistent effort, the podcast’s listenership for 2024 has doubled on 2023’s full-year results – recording 6330 downloads year-to-date.

“The Keep on Moving podcast is the only regular podcast series produced specifically for New Zealand’s trucking industry. With a now firmly established programme of four unique episodes per month – The Vocational edition, the UDC Business of Trucking, Blokes Yarning and Chick’s Chat – we expect these figures to keep increasing,” McCoid says.

And we want to share the love … New Zealand Trucking Media is always open to those who would like to partner with New Zealand Trucking magazine or the Keep on Moving podcast, and reach the country’s base of trucking enthusiast and business-related readers and listeners.
