Bridgestone donates $50,000 to Leukaemia & Blood Cancer NZ
Tyre brand Bridgestone has donated $52,605 to Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC), raised through the 2023 edition of Bridgestone’s annual ‘Drive for a Cure’ campaign, where $3 was committed for each Bridgestone branded passenger, 4×4, and SUV tyre sold through Blood Cancer Awareness month.
Over the past five years, Bridgestone New Zealand has raised nearly $250,000 for LBC.
“We’re proud to contribute to the work of Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand because it is a demonstration of Bridgestone’s vision of a more sustainable society. Initiatives like our ‘Drive for a Cure’ campaign are important because it allows our customers to also make a difference through simply choosing Bridgestone,” said Bridgestone’s director of New Zealand business, John Staples.
The funds raised through the ‘Drive for a Cure’ campaign play a crucial role in providing personalized support, information, and education to patients and families, as well as funding research, raising awareness, and providing advocacy. The campaign has a direct impact on the lives of over 21,000 New Zealanders currently living with blood cancer, supporting services such as fuel vouchers to ensure access to vital treatments.
