Prostate Cancer Awareness Month ’23 kicks off
More than 4000 Kiwi men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year.
Every day 10 mates, fathers, sons, brothers, grandfathers will be told they have prostate cancer – if you haven’t been directly affected, you’re bound to know someone who has.
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ is calling on people to “Do Something Blue To Help A Mate Through”.
Every year, dedicated Kiwis get together to raise awareness and funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Whether it’s a virtual cycle circumnavigation of NZ, face your fear challenge, a golf tourno with your mates, a friendly rugby match or workplace bake-off, it all starts with an idea.
Think a BBQ, a blue ‘swear’ jar, quiz night, golf day or silent auction. Come up with your own or feel free to use one of the suggestions on the Prostate Cancer Foundation website.
Once you have your idea and registered, you’ll get an online fundraising page that you can personalise and share with friends, whanau and work colleagues.
Truckies can even purchase a blue ribbon for the grille of their trucks to how their support. (At the URL below.)
Every dollar raised helps improve outcomes for men and their families living with prostate cancer.
Your efforts will help Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ support Kiwi men and their families living with a prostate cancer diagnosis.
