National Road Carriers is offering support to the transport sector in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle with services and discounts for transport businesses impacted in the cyclone region.
“The effects of Cyclone Gabrielle continue to be felt across the North Island and feedback from our members suggests many of our transport community have been significantly impacted, particularly in the hardest hit regions,” the association said.
“We know in times of hardship fellow operators are there, ready to lend a hand, providing emergency support and helping wherever possible. There have been countless stories of the trucking industry stepping up to help friends and colleagues hit by either the recent flooding or the cyclone.
“National Road Carriers has a proud history of members helping members. That’s why we’re offering our support to both existing and new members. We are asking our members to connect our team or pass our details onto any transport operator needing assistance, in cyclone affected regions. We are asking members to put their NRC Ambassador hat on and reach out to connect NRC to industry colleagues who may be struggling to navigate in the challenging environment they now find themselves in.”
NRC said it is making its services and discounts available for transport businesses impacted in the cyclone region.
The support includes a six-month complimentary membership, available for new and existing members; discounts on fuel, tyres and other services, personal support from NRC’s specialist transport advisors; tailored advice from MRC’s finance and insurance partner; and exclusive business services such as route cost modelling.
“Our team is on hand to provide personal support and advice to help operators navigate the raft of operational and commercial challenges being faced. Our commercial and business partners are available to provide specialist support particularly in the areas of finance and insurance, which we know are of particular concern during these trying times,” NRC said.
“For existing members, we can offer a subscription extension and ready access to our team who are simply a phone call away with specialist transport advice if it is needed.”
