Fantastic first month for Trucking Radio 24/7

In News3 MinutesBy NZ Trucking magazineSeptember 2, 2022

Just one month ‘on air’ and Trucking Radio 24/7 has exceeded expectation.

The app has already received more than 2000 downloads between the Apple and Android platforms, and overall listeners enjoyed more than 1.7-million streaming minutes (between app and web) during August.

“We’ve been blown away by the response, support and interest from within the industry,” says New Zealand Trucking Media’s Matt Smith. “The feedback from clients has been phenomenal and some exciting announcements will be made over the coming weeks.”

And as New Zealand’s first and only radio station dedicated to the trucking industry, Trucking Radio 24/7 has also attracted the attention of some big names and friends of the industry.

Advocate for mental health and wellbeing and founder of I Am Hope, Mike King, has added his support to the platform and will be a regular voice on Trucking Radio 24/7, encouraging truckies to check in on each other and embrace positive mental health.

We’re also excited to announce a new Business of Transport segment which will launch on 19 September 2022. The one-hour show will air four times a week and feature the latest news and updates from the industry, as well as special features and guests, and a weekly economic outlook and commentary by trusted economist Cameron Bagrie.

“We’re exceptionally excited to have Mike and Cameron onboard, we know listeners will derive great value from their content and updates. We look forward to welcoming more industry voices to the Trucking Radio 24/7 family as we evolve the content to give the industry exactly what it wants to hear,” says New Zealand Trucking Media editorial director, Dave McCoid.
