Austin McCaw

Looks can sometimes be deceiving but in this case they‘re not. This is a Kurow McCaw, and Austen is related, “I‘m a cousin somehow,” he said (as if you couldn‘t tell).

Dave McCoid ran into Austen in Pahiatua on the day he was at Jackson Enterprises to uplift the brand new DAF CF85 drop-sider that will be his trusted companion in the Rural Transport colours.

However, at the time the new truck was void of signwriting so Austin has sent in this pic a month or so down the track. So far the union between man and machine has been all smiles.

From a farming background, 22-year-old Austin‘s been driving for just under three years and loves the lifestyle, especially meeting people and the driving itself, although he admits to not enjoying getting stuck.

When asked the vexing question “Pig hunting or fishing”, Austin chose to bring home the bacon.
