Fuso – The Expo

Under the control of a new distributor, Fuso New Zealand Ltd had a significant display of trucks in the main pavilion.

Fuso‘s Canter Hybrid is now New Zealand‘s top selling hybrid truck and was in a prominent position.

Its conventionally powered sibling, the neat little Canter 616 City Tipper, is a Japanese-built ready-towork PTO driven tipper with a 5995kg GVM and an eye-catching price tag of $39,900 + GST and ORC.

The Fighter range was promoted through the FK1425, a 4×2, with a 13,500kg GVM, on air suspension and 17.5” wheels, available with Allison auto or 6-speed manual transmissions.

A recent introduction is a short wheelbase 8×4 tractor unit built by Fuso dealer Prestige Commercial Vehicles in Christchurch, before the new distributor was announced. The innovative modification has resulted in the design being added to Fuso‘s local range as the FS3147 – Tractor.

A competitive 9-tonne tare coupled with a 55-tonne GCM opens up HPMV opportunities for the 470hp tractor unit when towing a quad.
