Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz increase peace of mind Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner customers now have added peace of mind thanks to a new roadside assistance programme in New Zealand.
The improved support programme will be carried out by a new partner, with better integration with Daimler Truck and Bus brands and has been developed to get customers back on the road faster.
Daimler Truck and Bus New Zealand Roadside Assistance will continue to provide 24-hour support, 365 days a year.
ISS First Response will now be responsible for connecting Daimler truck and bus customers with the dealer network in the rare event of a problem out on the road.
It has access to vehicle information in Daimler systems, which will help enable a faster response for customers. Daimler Truck and Bus dealers will also be provided with an analysis of root causes when the vehicle is delivered, which can help speed up the support process. Customers can also request access to the same information.
The new process will mean a Daimler Truck and Bus field service manager will be called to help ensure the support process is carried out as quickly as possible.
Freightliner senior manager and acting Mercedes-Benz senior manager, Pieter Theron, says the new roadside assistance programme will benefit customers.
“We know how valuable uptime is for our customers, so we have made changes to improve the Daimler Truck and Bus New Zealand Roadside Assistance programme,” he said.
The current toll free number of 0508 247 777 for customers requiring roadside assistance remains the same.
