Careers on show at TMC Trailers Trucking Industry Show 2018

Showcasing careers in the transport industry will help companies encourage more people into the industry. To further this aim, a careers event is to be held on the trade-only day, Friday 9 March 2018, at the TMC Trailers Trucking Industry Show 2018.

Schools and other training organisations are being invited to book a time for a hosted tour and a look behind the scenes at various aspects of the trucking industry. There is an ongoing and increasing shortage in all areas of the trucking industry, and this event has been organised to allow groups to be introduced to people who are actually doing the job. They will see what‘s new in the industry and companies will highlight career pathways, so the participants can start planning their studies.

Group appointments will be scheduled to ensure participants can have worthwhile conversations and not miss any of the opportunities that exist. There will be truck rides and a free barbecue over the lunch break.

To register, visit www.truckingindustryshow.co.nz. Spaces are limited and the event is expected to be popular, so early bookings are advised. All registered participants will receive a free entry ticket for the public open day on the 10th, which also features the huge show and shine.

For more information about the careers day contact Rebecca Dinmore 021 069 2841 rebecca.dinmore@nztruckingassn.co.nz.
